Sean Heasley Technical Support Specialist. Hello Sean, I found this while researching the same issue as the original poster. I followed your suggestion to uninstall the plugin, rename the preferences folder, then reinstall the plugin and relaunch Maya but I still don't see the plugin.
Is there something else I have to do once the install completes to get the plugin to show up in Maya ? Hopefully you started Maya at least once, after deleting preferences folder and before installing the plug-in, or the installer may missed some files not sure if this is necessary. I'm just checking in to see if you need more help with this. Did the suggestion that mspeer provided work for you?

I an animation I want to render testing out the new Arnold Render engine— and then realized it leaves a watermark unless I have a license So I canceled the Batch render by force quitting the extra Maya icon and Batch Renderer and decided to go back to good ol' mental ray.
Well, nothing happened. But the batch render was apparently complete. See Console for more information. No Errors, as you can see, so checking the start frame—I am rendering only 1 - 12 frames at 60 frames per second. And it previously worked with the Arnold renderer with the same settings.
So I decided to create a new scene to test the renderer again, only using the mental ray objects and not even loading in the Arnold Renderer. Same issue. Go to Solution. Solved by mspeer.
